We had a picnic in Twin Falls at Shoshoni Falls Park. As you can see the waterfalls are
beautiful.
We spent the night near Boise & had dinner with Christie a friend from my working days. She took us on a beautiful riverside
walk past fancy homes.
Our next stop was Baker City Oregon at the Oregon Trails Visitor Center. There was a
great museum. The outside pic was of the
few ruts left made by the wagons.
We spent the night in Pasco Wa. (Breakfast in Idaho, lunch in Oregon, dinner in Wash.)
We had a great dinner with 3 cousins Steve hasn't seen in years.
We spent the next day with Steve's sister
& her husband, Penni & Alan. We celebra-
Ted Steve's birthday.
They say "into each life a little rain must fall.
Ours started 1/2 hour into Canada. It has been on & off. The "navigator, "me, was busy paying some bills online. I noticed an hour later we were on the wrong road. Steve took the wrong fork in the road. We had to go back an hour to where we started,
& then 1 1/2 hours to Kootenay NP. We got to
the campsite at 10:30
Next day, we drove the Kootenay Highway.
The Kootenay River was a beautiful turquoise.
That crow was huge!! Stanley Glacier was
shrouded in mist.
The white on the mountain were waterfalls
The Continental Divide
Johnson Canyon lower falls. We decided
a mile walk was enough so didn't see the
upper falls.
It is really chilly so we spent the evening
doing indoor activities.
I will post the Lake Louise photos next time.
Beautiful pictures! We loved hiking in Johnston's canyon too! The walkways hanging from the sides of the canyon are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That will teach you to pay bills online while Steve does the driving! Ha a! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures - I absolutely adored Idaho when I was there a decade ago - would move there in a hot second if I could! XXOO
